An analysis of Twitter bots led by ISI’s Emilio Ferrara is garnering high-profile media coverage around the globe.

To be presented at the International AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) Conference on Web and Social Media in May 2017, the paper asserts that as many as 48 million of Twitter’s active monthly users likely are bots.

More than 35 domestic and 25 foreign news outlets covered the story in three days, including the Wall Street Journal, ABC and CBS news, and the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail. A research summary and the full list can be found on Ferraras blog.
