Adam Russell, AI/nthropologist and Director of the AI Division at the USC Information Sciences Institute (ISI), is on a journey to help build a better world with AI. He interviews the ISI humans behind AI to understand what motivates them, how they shape AI today, and where they hope AI will go.
Myrl Marmarelis, a research assistant at ISI, explains why the combination of machine learning and causal inference excites him. He shares why he’s tried to avoid relying on using ChatGPT and other AI tools for certain tasks. He describes his past culinary explorations and why he enjoys experimenting in the kitchen.
