ISI/nsiders – ISI

Adam Russell, AI/nthropologist and Director of the AI Division at the USC Information Sciences Institute (ISI), is on a journey to help build a better world with AI. After launching AI/nsiders in 2023 where he interviewed the ISI humans behind our AI research, he expands his quest to the other disciplines researched at ISI. Networking, cybersecurity, computing, microelectronics, quantum, space, ISI scientists have a lot to say about the state of their fields, their research topics, and how AI fits into them.

Elizabeth Boschee, director of ISI’s Boston office, the associate director of ISI’s AI division, speaks about her hopes for AI providing assistance inside and outside of the workplace. She speaks on how her work today connects back to the technology that helped her finish her college education. She discusses how using AI with her daughters has shown her the biases of models as well as the possibilities they open up. She explains why she believes everyone should have hands-on experience with AI technology. Listen to her episode of ISI/nsiders below.
