The USC Viterbi School of Engineering seeks outstanding faculty candidates at all levels and disciplines to advance the goals and mission of the School and University.

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is among the top engineering schools in the world. A large percentage of its well over 200 tenured/tenure-track faculty members are fellows in their respective professional societies and more than 30 affiliated faculty members have been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. The School is home to many research centers and institutes (see our Research Center page for a current list), including the Information Sciences Institute (ISI), two National Science Foundation Engineering Research Centers, the Department of Homeland Security CREATE Center, and an Energy Frontiers Research Center (EFRC) supported by the Department of Energy.  It is affiliated with the Institute for Creative Technologies and the USC Stevens Center for Innovation.  USC Viterbi faculty conducts research in leading-edge technologies with a large annual research expenditure (find the most up-to-date expenditure on our Facts page). Research

We expect candidates for tenured/tenure-track faculty positions to have a strong commitment to research, doctoral student mentoring, and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to have earned a doctorate in the respective areas or closely related fields by the date of appointment.
