Twelve scholars from top-tier universities with computer science and social work programs collaborated with USC Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society faculty and PhD students on projects which included suicide prevention among college students using dynamic network coverage algorithms, wildlife conservation in West Africa with spatial models, HIV prevention among homeless youth by way of a new algorithm that balances the demands of influence maximization without the availability of finding transient social network members, and behavioral game theory for gang violence prevention.
