The John Brooks Slaughter Center provides co-curricular programs and development opportunities for all Viterbi students. Rooted in the values and legacy of Dr. John Brooks Slaughter, the Center helps shape the culture and community of the Viterbi student body.
These programs are open to all eligible individuals. The Viterbi School of Engineering operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. The Viterbi Scholars Institute (VSI) is a high-achievement program designed to enhance the transition to USC for incoming first-year engineering students. The Viterbi Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) is an opportunity for Viterbi undergraduate students to customize their curricular and co-curricular experience to engage with one of the National Academy of Engineers' 14 Grand Challenges. Develop interdisciplinary skills and tackle the world's most pressing engineering challenges.
The SURE Program is an 8-week summer residential research program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Participate in hands-on research projects, work alongside distinguished faculty, and gain valuable experience in your field of interest while building connections with peers from around the country.
