Mission

SAC aims to lead, inspire, educate, and innovate in the evolving landscape of computing and technology – and its societal implications - through a multi-, inter-, and trans-disciplinary approach. Its mission is three-pronged:

• Be the crucible for research and innovation on the fundamentals of advanced computing.
  
  
• Provide state-of-the-art, world-leading education programs in advanced computing for students and professionals across all disciplines and educational backgrounds.
  
  
• Enable and empower the solution of grand-challenge-like problems across the disciplines by serving as USC’s nexus for advanced computational technologies across all scientific domains, as well as furthering the understanding of the implications and ethics of the advancement of computing across society.
