Annual rankings by U.S. News & World Report also keep USC Viterbi among the top five private engineering schools

Home to more than 9,000 students, 200 faculty and more than $200 million in research expenditures, the USC Viterbi School is consistently ranked in the top 10 graduate programs (U.S. News and World Report).

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering remains among the nation’s top 10 graduate engineering programs for 2020, per U.S. News & World Report (USNWR).

The annual U.S. News & World Report rankings, released on March 17, 2020, surveys nearly 200 U.S. engineering graduate programs and is based on quantitative data as well as reputation surveys by academics and professionals, conducted in Fall 2019.

Tied at No. 10 among all schools, USC Viterbi is also in the top five among private engineering schools, along with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University.

Said Dean Yannis Yortsos, “This ranking is a testament to the quality of our faculty, students and staff — and of our educational and research programs.”

In addition, USC Viterbi is the only engineering school in the U.S. on three USNWR top-10 engineering program lists: “Best Graduate Schools,” “Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs” and “Best Online Information Technology Programs.”
