Assistant Professor Keenan Albee and graduate students José Pedro Ferreira and Tyler Presser presented papers at the 46th IEEE Aerospace Conference
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Aerospace Conference is organized to promote interdisciplinary understanding of aerospace systems, their underlying science and technology, and their applications to government and commercial endeavors.
This year, representatives from the USC Department of Astronautical Engineering (ASTE) presented at the 46th IEEE Aerospace Conference, which took place 1-8 March at the Yellowstone Conference Center in Big Sky, Montana.
Assistant Professor Keenan Albee presented the paper titled “Architecting Autonomy for Safe Microgravity Free-Flyer Inspection” in the session on In-Space Robotics: In-Space Servicing, Assembly, Manufacturing, and Active Debris Removal.
PhD candidate José Pedro Ferreira presented the paper titled “Cost-Effective Very Low Earth Orbit Mission for Atmospheric Science” in the session on Future Small, Low-Cost Mission Concepts.
PhD candidate Tyler Presser presented the paper titled “Multimode Propulsion: Cislunar Rideshare Mission Concept Trade Space Analysis for Small Spacecraft” in the same session on Future Small, Low-Cost Mission Concepts.
