Indo-US Funding Opportunities

NSF and Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) collaboration
This NSF-MeitY collaborative opportunity focuses on research and technological development in all aspects of semiconductor research, next generation communication systems, cyber-security, sustainability and green technologies, and intelligent transportation systems.
Proposals may be submitted for collaborative research to the Small Project class of the CISE Core Programs. U.S. investigators are encouraged to submit to NSF by the target date of January 5, 2024.

Vaibhav Fellowship - Dept. of Science and Technology, India
Dept. of Science and Technology India, equivalent of NSF, has announced a collaborative program called Vaibhav fellowship.
This Fellowship program allows for a faulty to visit an Indian Institution for one or two months in a year, and they provide reasonably good financial support. The program is open to faculty or researchers who are of Indian origin.

United States-India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF)
As one of its flagship bilateral programs, the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) administers the USISTEF, through which Grant-in-Aid support is provided to start-up initiatives to the extent of USD 400,000.

The Call for Proposals under this program has recently been announced and online submission is currently open with a deadline of 15 October 2022.
