The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Aerospace Conference is organized to promote interdisciplinary understanding of aerospace systems, their underlying science and technology, and their applications to government and commercial endeavors.
This year, PhD students from the USC Department of Astronautical Engineering (ASTE) presented at the 45th IEEE Aerospace Conference, which took place 2-9 March at the Yellowstone Conference Center in Big Sky, Montana.
Kristina Andreyeva presented the paper titled “Mobility of a Soft Conformable Multi-limbed Robot Actuated by Shape Memory Alloy Wires” in the session on Robotic Mobility and Sample Acquisition Systems.
José Pedro Ferreira presented the paper titled “Space Debris Demise upon Re-entry as a Potential Atmospheric Pollutant” in the session on Space Debris and Micrometeoroids: The Environment, Risks, and Mitigation Concepts and Practices.
Ulubilge Ulusoy presented the paper titled “What Kind of Support Do Astronauts Need for Maintenance Tasks in Space Habitats? A Survey Study” in the session on Human Space Flight Development, Operations, and Processing.
